Meet Drina – a beautiful 6-year-old female Alexandrine.
Drina has been with me for the past 10 months where she has received consistent structure, high-quality nutrition and positive reinforcement training.
Although naturally a calm and reserved bird, Drina is responsive and manageable. She:
• Steps up reliably onto a perch
• Steps down back into her cage on cue
• Targets confidently
• Takes treats gently from the hand
• Is not aggressive or cage territorial
She is not a cuddly, hands-on bird at this stage, but she is steady, intelligent and responsive to training. With continued positive reinforcement, she will continue to build confidence.
Drina is 6 years old (ring ID present), which places her at a stable adult age.
She has been fed a varied fresh diet (vegetables, grains, legumes, pulses, fruit) alongside Harrison’s pellets, with seeds and nuts used for training. She receives 12–14 hours of uninterrupted sleep nightly and regular structured exercise.
Drina would suit:
• An experienced parrot owner confident with positive reinforcement
• A calm home environment
• Or a responsible breeder seeking a healthy adult female
If intended for breeding, I expect responsible standards of care and appropriate rest periods between clutches.
