Description
It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking to find a new home for our 6-year-old Bulldog. He is in good health with no known medical conditions or allergies. In his lifetime he has only had two minor vet visits: one for a grass seed in his foot, and one for a limp after excessive exercise, which healed after a short course of anti-inflammatory medication. Other than that, he has been a healthy boy. He has a lovely temperament and this decision has not been made lightly. We originally got him before having children, at a time when we did not think we would be able to conceive. Our circumstances have changed a lot since then, and we now have a toddler, a newborn baby, and a French Bulldog. Sadly, with a busy household, we feel we can no longer give him the time, attention, and environment he deserves. He is affectionate and wants to be involved in family life, but because of his size and weight, he can find busy play around young children a bit difficult to manage, especially when toys, trampolines, bubbles, and lots of activity are involved. For this reason, we feel he would be best suited to a home without young children. He has been around other dogs, but he does not always get on well with larger dogs, so we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in the home, or with very careful introductions depending on the situation. He enjoys getting out and is offered a daily walk, although he is not always interested and currently tends to go out around three times a week. He would suit a calmer home, ideally with a young couple or an older/retired couple who can give him the attention and quieter lifestyle he would thrive in. This is a heartbreaking decision, and we only want the very best home for him. We are in no rush and will only consider homes that we feel are the right fit for him. Please message if you would like more information or think you could offer him the loving home he deserves. He comes from a quality pedigree bulldog line and was originally purchased for several thousand pounds as a puppy. He is our third bulldog, so we are very familiar with the breed and its needs.
