š¢ I absolutely hate that I am here doing this. The thought of letting Rufus go makes me so so sad, I love this guy like he is my own furry adopted son ! I got him in January at 11 weeks old. My intentions were once Rufus was old enough to enter him into assistance dog training and have him support my 5 year old who is AUDHD PDA , but unfortunately he has not bonded with the dog and is constantly trying to equalise with him. This is making every day extremely difficult as my son creates a barrier to almost every need that Rufus has. Iāve given it as long, probably too long if Iām honest š¢ as I can to see if things improve as Iāve desperately wanted to be able to make things work. But it seems to be getting worse and itās not fare on the dog. Rufus is kind, loyal, intelligent, so so keen to please ! He learns fast and knows basic commands. His recall is good. He is raised with cats, kids and loves other dogs. He knows basic commands, sit , down, paw and some useless ones like snoot boop for s treat ! He doesnāt chew on the house, is house broken and crate trained. Heās still very much a puppy and is ready to go all day , he settles well after a good walk and some stimulation. Heās still very much a puppy, gets a bit excited sometimes and needs to be settled with a good bone and but of crate time, but heās not hard work at all he really is a dream. Heās a really really nice and good dog, and anyone would be lucky to have him. He loves water, heās been away with is loads in the camper van and travels well! I honestly do not want to see him go, but itās not fair on him if I keep him for my own selfish reasons. He deserves better. The type of home he would suite is some who is active, who is around in the day for him, could be nice if the person has other dogs I think he would love to be in a pack ! Iād say no rabbits as he definitely wants to eat my sisters bunny š° he got a taste for rabbit with the furry rabbit ears treats Iāve been giving himā¦.if you think you are a good fit please call me and we can have a chat.
