Description
This lovely girl is a 2 year and 9 month old ISDS registered border collie. She has only recently come into a home environment from a kennelled life as a failed sheepdog and is a very loving and biddable pet. She is not your typical obsessive or overly driven/high energy collie but is very smart and inquisitive. She is crate trained, walks well on the lead, travels well in the car and responds well to her name. She has restarted her vaccinations which were lapsed, and is wormed, flea and tick treated. It is clear she has previously had some harsh handling and she is more nervous of men than women and can be fearful of new loud noises or sudden movements. Due to her very loving nature she is quick to build confidence around these things with positive reinforcement. She does tend to gravitate towards women and her ideal home would have a female as the main carer. She has shown that living with cats is too much for her, creates stress as she doesn't know how to take them, but also very instinctively wants to chase when they run, so a cat-free home is a must. A home with other calm and gentle dogs and older dog savvy children (she loves to cuddle) would be suitable. All home will be vetted. Please be willing to provide details of the home and life you can offer her as this special girl deserves to have the best life in her forever home. Must be prepared to have meet and greets.
