Meet Ollie š¾
Ollie is a beautiful Shihpoo, born on 7th March 2026, who has been with us for just over two weeks. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family and is absolutely no reflection on him. Unfortunately, due to a combination of severe allergies within our family and difficulties integrating him with our resident cat, we feel it may be kinder to find him a home where he can thrive.
Ollie is a clever, affectionate and very observant little puppy. He loves being with people and enjoys cuddles, but he's also beginning to grow in confidence and is quite independent, happily settling on his own for periods during the day while we are working.
He has made excellent progress with his toilet training and barks to go out, he learns very quickly. He sleeps well overnight and has settled into a good routine.
Training has started really well. He already knows:
- Sit
- Early recall (he comes back well when focused)
- Short stays
- "Drop" is developing nicely
- He walks beautifully on a lead for his age and doesn't pull, although like many puppies he enjoys stopping to investigate the world!
Ollie is an intelligent puppy who enjoys enrichment. He particularly likes puzzle feeders, sniffing games and working for his food. He learns quickly and enjoys positive reinforcement training.
He loves people and has happily met adults and children while out and about, settling beautifully in places such as cafƩs and pub gardens. He travels well in the car, although occasionally becomes vocal just as we set off then settles.
Ollie would suit a home that enjoys spending time with their dog, is happy to continue his training and enrichment, and understands that he is still very much a young puppy with all the enthusiasm and curiosity that comes with that having said that he is very chilled for a puppy.
This decision has been made with a very heavy heart, and finding the right home is far more important to us than finding a quick one. We would love to see Ollie go to a home where he can continue to grow into the wonderful little dog we know he is becoming.
