Description

Meet Flora & Poppy! Both sisters, but from different litters. Flora is a Blue Tortie Mitted, Poppy is a Seal Tabby Bicolour. Both bred here by me. We had kept these girls back as future queens, however things don’t always work out that way! Flora had a litter but didn’t cope very well being a mummy. She loves everyone else’s kittens, but didn’t enjoy her own. For this reason, we have decided to spay her and rehome her to a pet home with her sister Poppy. Poppy, has always been very shy. She was from a decent sized litter and always got pushed out by her bigger brothers. I figured with time and patience I’d be able to help her with her confidence and she’d go on to make a fabulous mummy like her own mummy. Unfortunately that isn’t the case. She again loves everyone else’s kittens but she’s just far too timid for me to want to allow her to have her own kittens, the whole process just wouldn’t be fair on her. Our house is also very busy and loud with very young children and it’s just not helping her to flourish to her full potential. She and Flora are joined at the hip and I will only allow them to go together. Flora is cheeky, playful, confident and a big chunky girl with bundles of love and life to bring to a family. Poppy is a very gentle, calm, reserved girl who takes a while to warm to people but when she does she trusts you no end and will be latched to your hip. She relies heavily on her sister Flora for confidence and a calmer environment for her to feel safe and at ease would be much more suited to her gentle nature. With all the above in mind, we would like a quiet home for the girls to go to. With no children (or much older ones that can appreciate and understand animal body language and their behaviours). The girls do keep each other company and cuddle up together, so there wouldn’t be a need for someone to be home all the time, but also someone whom is out constantly wouldn’t be suited as Poppy needs that constant one to one interaction to keep her happy, settled, feel safe and familiar with you. All our retired queens are fully GCCF Active registered but spayed before going to their new homes. They come with paperwork proof that they are negative to the Ragdoll HCM gene. I can confirm that Poppy has never had any kittens, been pregnant or even mated. She is still a maiden. Flora has had one litter of kittens, but did not cope well so has not reared a litter.
