Description
This is not an easy post to write, in fact it’s disgustingly heartbreaking, but for many reasons we’re looking for a new family and home for our Lailani.
We’ve tried for months to make things work and they’re progressing and unfortunately every day lacks harmony and is incredibly overwhelming, we home educate our children so this can’t keep going on as it’s disrupting our routines and having a huge effect and exhausting myself.
Rehoming her is going to have a big impact on my family, but it’s the saddest right thing to do, for us and her. And we would like to keep in touch, this way I can keep in touch and see her from time to time (not seeing her again is not an option, she’s extremely loved)
The pros-
She’s incredibly loyal, name recall, off leash walk, friendly with other dogs and cats, non destructive (unless it’s her teddies), loves ball, is house trained, very loving amazing with children, easy to train activities and tasks, responds very well to commands. Doesn’t generally have aggression but does display it to the animals she lives with.
The cons-
Unable to live with another dog, is possessive of her humans, and displays jealous behaviour, can pull on leash but isnt problematic, placid to the point loud noises and raised voices affect her. resource guards and won’t eat because of the presence of another dog in the house (which isn’t good for her) and dominates other animals that she lives with (we have multiple animals, reptiles, cat and dog). She doesn’t handle correction well (she trickles wee) so she must be the only dog in the house preferably only animal and she does have mild separation anxiety, if we leave the house (which we do often for educational trips, general shopping etc) she will bark until we return home.
She’s almost 1 (12.03.2025) and an F2 Apricot Cockerpoo
Happy to discuss in depth reasons with potential new family for her. Please only dm me if I know you and you’re serious. She means a lot to me and my children.
I have attached photos of her with her long fur and of her when groomed (incorrectly) she is currently growing her fur back but is still rather short. Also her puppy images as she’s truly sweet.
Besides her jealousy when living with other animals she’s the sweetest, most loving and loyal girl. And in the right environment (a home where she’s centre of attention and doesn’t feel she’s competing with another dog) she’ll thrive and be your bestest friend. She’s truly incredible. Everyone that’s ever met her as fell in love. She rarely if ever needs correcting outside of this problem area. She’s extremely well behaved and very placid with lots of bounce.
