4-Year-Old Dog Looking for an Experienced, Active Home It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our beautiful 4-year-old girl. This is not a decision we’ve made lightly, but due to moving house , starting new jobs, and then having children, we’ve sadly let her training slip over the last couple of years. We feel she deserves a home where she can get the time, consistency, and attention she needs. She is a loving, affectionate dog with no aggression whatsoever. She is not nippy and has never shown any signs of biting. Around young children, her excitement can get the better of her, and she tends to try and flop or roll on top of them, so we feel she’d be much happier in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children. She has developed a habit of chewing toys and shoes, but never furniture or household items. We genuinely believe this is down to boredom and a lack of mental stimulation rather than a behavioural issue, and with regular exercise, enrichment, and consistent boundaries, we think this habit would be easy to overcome. She has always lived happily with our two other dogs and enjoys canine company. However, as she’s only ever been walked with the same dogs, she’ll need some confidence-building and socialisation around unfamiliar dogs when out on walks. She is incredibly nose-driven and loves to scent. We think she’d thrive with someone interested in working her. Her recall will need rebuilding, and she would benefit from an experienced owner who can provide firm, fair, and consistent training. In the right hands, we’re confident she’ll flourish. for someone with experience, patience, and the time to invest in her, she’ll make an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. Finding the right home is far more important to us than finding a quick home, so we’d love to hear from people who can genuinely offer her the life she deserves.
