Description
Hello, we are looking to re-home our border collie "pie" she is about 4 years old. We have had great trouble training pie since we got her as a pup we have taken her to standard dog training classes and more advanced classes that deal with difficult dogs and ones that specialise in border collies and for the most part it has been successful. But and there is a big but she still shows aggression towards other dogs and people, which is why we are now having to make the difficult decision to re-home her. We do have a new born in the house now and she has not taken well to the change which is limiting her freedom in the house and the attention we can give her as we both work full-time so juggling the baby and dog together when they can't be around each other is becoming incredibly difficult. We fear that it's having more of a negative impact on pie making her more nervous anxious and more difficult to manage. The last thing we want is for something to happen that is irreversible.
Please understand we have tried many classes and 1-1 trainers and it's just having very little effect, she does have anxiety around people, severe attachment issues, pulls when being walked, jumps and barks at dogs and men/children. We have had her since a pup there has been no trauma or incidents that we can identify that has caused this behaviour.
I have had alot of interest but we want to make sure she goes to a family that can care for her, preferably without other animals or children and she will need to be slowly introduced to the right person.
