Description

Gorgeous 17 month old male labrador. KC registered from fully health tested parents. All documentation can be seen. He is up to date with vaccines, flea and worming treatment. He has been trained to a high standard, with view to becoming a working gun dog. Sadly he has made it clear that he would much rather be a very well trained pet. He walks at heel both on and off lead, he never pulls and can be walked by a small child in busy environments. He has been well socialised from the beginning and has been carefully introduced to a range of situations to build confidence and neutrality. He is friendly and outgoing, loving people and other dogs. However this has been carefully balanced with training him to switch off. He knows once he’s told to go on his bed or to sit that he must do that until instructed otherwise. He loves a game of ball, and will happily deposit the ball back at your feet and wait for the next throw. He is both whistle and voice trained for a range of commands. He has always lived inside the home, with children and other pets. He is toilet trained and happy to be left for hours at a time. He travels perfectly, jumps up into any vehicle and is never sick. He loves a pub trip and has been on holiday multiple times already. He is calm, confident and adaptable. He has never resource guarded, growled or been in anyway aggressive. He is very used to being loved, cuddled and pulled around by a toddler. He really is a fantastic dog ready to enjoy straight away now all the foundations in place. Obviously he is a live animal and young one at that, so will need his training continued and boundaries maintained. However he has the most biddable temperament and has been a joy to train. He is not gun shy, but doesn’t have the drive for retrieving required to work. This is a very sad decision but ultimately with his best interest at heart. Ball or frisbee in the garden however is right up his street so an active family home would be perfect for him.
