Description

Unfortunately due to ill health I am unable to keep my nearly 7 year old miniature Jack Russell. Staffordshire area. We have had him since he was around 6-8 weeks old. Unfortunately I knew very little about him as we had gone to collect his brother (who is my mums dog) and he was the last of the litter, and the conditions they were in were not the best, it broke my heart to leave him and so he came home with us too! Fully house trained, microchipped, upto date with vaccinations etc. His name is Peanut (my daughter chose his name), he is very loving and loves a long walk and fusses. He would suit a retired couple or someone who is home alot as he is very anxious in nature and doesn't like to be left alone for long periods. He can be a little cautious of men at first and has been like this since I had him, he's absolutely fine after 5 minutes though and loves lots of attention. The anxious behaviour became alot worse 2 years ago when I had to have a number of months off work due to ill health, and when I returned back to work he was incredibly anxious about being left alone. I am absolutely devastated to have to do this but it is the most fair for him. I have tried everything from calming treats, to music, to reducing my hours down at work to try and help the situation but unfortunately he is still the same and I feel dreadful each day having to leave him. He is great with children of any age, other small dogs he is good with, but larger dogs and cats he will bark at, and doesn't like them. Any questions I am happy to answer, please send me a message. I would like for him to meet his prospective new owners a couple of times to help the transition. I would love to be able to still ask about him, and see pictures of him with his new family but understand if this is not possible. I truly am devastated but I know this is what is best for him.
