CRICKET – Small cat, big plans
MEET CRICKET – SMALL CAT, BIG PLANS
Cricket is an adventurous little tabby girl who has spent the first weeks of her life surrounded by seven other kittens, two mums and a foster home full of activity.
She’s one of eight babies born to Chloe and Lola, two stray sisters rescued from a garden in Slough.
Both mums and all eight kittens were brought into Penny Paws care, and Cricket has been making the most of her new surroundings ever since.
Of the two sisters, Cricket is definitely the more adventurous.
She’s curious, playful and increasingly confident about exploring everything around her. Wrestling with her siblings, investigating toys and generally finding ways to entertain herself are all part of her daily routine.
She’s a healthy, happy little girl who is eating solid food, using her litter tray and developing beautifully.
A LITTLE ABOUT HER BACKGROUND
Cricket’s mum spent her life outdoors before coming into rescue, and she’s understandably still quite wary of people.
As the kittens have grown, we’ve started noticing some of that nervousness rubbing off on them.
It’s something we’re familiar with at Penny Paws, and we feel Cricket will benefit from moving into her permanent home at nine weeks, where she can continue developing her confidence and relationship with people.
She’s already showing us a lovely, inquisitive personality, and we’d love to see that develop further.
FINDING HER FOREVER HOME
Cricket will be ready to leave for her new home at 9 weeks old.
She can be adopted individually, but we’d also love to find a home for Cricket and her sister Jessie together.
The girls have grown up side by side, and having a familiar companion could be a lovely way for them to settle into their new surroundings.
Both girls are fostered in Walton-on-Thames.
ABOUT ADOPTING FROM PENNY PAWS
Penny Paws is an independent, volunteer-run rescue. Nobody makes a profit from our adoptions.
Our adoption fees help cover food, litter, parasite treatments, veterinary checks, microchipping, neutering, medication and emergency care across our foster network.
We don’t routinely vaccinate our rescues, as we receive no external funding, so adopters will need to arrange vaccinations with their own vet.
Kittens adopted before five months of age are to be neutered by their new owners.
Adoption fee: £199 individually or £350 for Cricket and Jessie together.
