Hello, I'm selling both my male guinea pigs (flump the long haired pig & bugssy short haired) with cage and set up...I bought them from pets at home this time last year, I've had them for a year now....I've always had hamsters for years and decided to buy guinea pigs for a change. I was hoping with all the hand feeling and spending time with them they would eventually become tame. However they are still scatty and scared, they will both eat from your hands and come to you but are scared to be picked up. The short haired one is a lot more easy to handle than the long haired pig.
Lived indoors the whole time I've had them, hay, fresh veg and fruit daily and dry food daily
..
I've tried to tame them with no luck, bought them for my kids, but they never bother with them and they are just left for me to deal with..I'm only selling them due to us getting a puppy and I cannot handle them, their nails need cutting and flump the long haired pig has to have his hair cut at the back, as it gets matted due to his length..I have cut some off on the past when I've managed to catch him lol ... I will be honest and say I'm scared of handling them and don't like to scare them. They have been very well looked after always had fresh veg and fruit daily along with dry food everyday..
I was expecting them to become tame over the months but I've had no luck and feel they deserve a better home with someone who has a lot more experience with them. Due to us getting a puppy my time is limited with them and I don't want them to get neglected....
They need someone who has a lot more experience than me.....
