This is peanut, she is a 3 year old yellow thighed caique who is an incredible mimicker and whistler who loves a good walnut. Although peanut is not DNA tested, I believe she is female. Peanut has been part of my family for a short space of time now (may this year) and she has really brightened up the house with her personality. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to do much when it comes to being hands on with peanut as she has a strong bite which I have become scared of. Peanut is at sexual maturity and seems to be going through a lot of hormone issues but due to this I feel I’m not giving peanut what she deserves. Despite me being at home majority of the time, having 10 years + in aviculture and the work I have done with peanut so far, I feel she would be best suited to a one on one home who can really work on her hormonal behaviours and biting, more than what I can Despite her biting she can be cuddly and she loves a scratch around her head. I am in no rush whatsoever to find peanut a new home and she will simply stay with me for the rest of her life if someone more suitable cannot be found. I must stress that she needs someone experienced and I am to be ensured that she will be guaranteed a forever home as I am not one to sell my birds.
