Very proud to introduce our litter of 8 pure bred German Shorthaired pointer (GSP) puppies by our much loved family pet Nutmeg. Her sire is Lord who has a hip score of 3/3, elbow score of 0/0 and a COI of 0% and has Rajkovic bloodlines. The puppies sire is Billingbriar Ptarmigan (DeNiro) who has a hip score of 3/3 and elbow score of 0/0 with a low COI. DeNiro is a stocky strong dog, while Nutmeg is tall and fine. Some of the puppies will definitely favour their sire while some are more Nutmeg's build. We have bred primarily for temperament as we wanted another puppy just like Nutmeg who is a very kind, gentle, athletic and highly intelligent girl. Both sides of the pedigree have working and showing lines, however, some of DeNiro's puppies are medical assistance dogs. We have 5 boys and 3 girls with a mix of liver ticked and black ticked puppies. They have great personalities developing and are growing up in a busy household being handled daily. We are routinely exposing them to noises such as the dishwasher, blender, hoover, music and television. For those who are not familiar with GSPs, these are a highly intelligent very active breed who make amazing working dogs and family pets. They bond very closely to their owners and are good with children and other pets (when introduced early). They do require lots of off lead exercise which works out well as they tend to scout and range ahead which means they do a lot more miles than you need to! GSPs are usually very easy to train (especially using cheese) so tend to have good recall and can easily be whistle trained which is useful when they are running ahead. GSPs are often used for sports such as Canicross and Bikejoring as they have amazing stamina. If you have an active family and are looking for a new best friend these puppies are for you!
