💙 Our beautiful boy Rolo is looking for his forever home 💙 This is one of the hardest posts we have ever had to write. Rolo has been with us since he was a puppy and was, in many ways, our first baby. We love him more than words can say, which is why making this decision hurts so much. Rolo is a 5-year-old neutered working Cocker Spaniel — loving, cuddly, clever, incredibly friendly and FULL of energy. He loves people, other dogs, playing fetch, going for walks, chewing his bones and being part of the family. He is also a typical energetic working Cocker and needs a lot of exercise, attention and stimulation. Sadly, since having our baby, we have realised that we simply don’t have the time to give Rolo everything he deserves. He is wonderful with our 7-month-old baby and is incredibly gentle with her, but we know that his needs are no longer being met in the way they should be. Rolo needs a loving, active family who can give him at least two good walks a day, plenty of play, training, patience and attention. Ideally, he would have a secure garden and a family who understands energetic breeds. He is house-trained, knows several commands and loves nothing more than being with his people. He can be excitable — he pulls on walks, jumps up when excited and can get cheeky with food! If he doesn’t get enough exercise, he can also become bored and chew things. These are things that will need patience, consistency and continued training. ❤️ We aren’t looking for just anyone to take Rolo. We want the RIGHT home. We want to meet potential adopters properly, get to know you and make absolutely sure that Rolo is going somewhere he will be loved, cared for and given the life he deserves. We would also love to stay in touch with his new family if possible. 📍 Somerset until the end of October / Buckinghamshire from November. This isn’t because Rolo isn’t loved. He is incredibly loved. Sometimes loving a dog means admitting when someone else can give them more than you currently can. He has given us five wonderful years of unconditional love, and all we want now is to find the family who can give him the same in return. 💙🐾 Please only message if you genuinely have the time, space and commitment to give a high-energy working Cocker the life he deserves.
