We are delighted to announce our gorgeous Saint Bernard girl has given birth to her first and only litter
She has been amazing so far on her motherhood journey and is nurturing her pups beautifully
She gave birth in the kitchen and the pups are
Being reared in our family home alongside the household noise , children and will receive lots
Of daily handling and care to help them become confident to family
Life
Mum is our gorgeous Saint who is KC registered and DNA health checked and negative of all 30 health conditions her mum
Had her hips xrayed with a sound scoring and we’ve had no concerns with her health throughout her life so far
She is very much part of our family , loves the children in her life and is a big softie
Dad is our friends KC registered Handsome Standard poodle who is also DNA health tested and negative of all 30
Health conditions.
Why we decided to breed our girl and why with a standard poodle
The two breeds
Compliment one another with low shredding , low drooling and
High chance of being hypoallergenic , ideal for allergy sufferers
Saints : Saint Bernards are famous for being gentle, affectionate and incredibly loyal, despite their enormous size.
* ❤️ Gentle and affectionate – often very loving with their family and enjoy being close to their people.
* 👨👩👧👦 Family-oriented – traditionally known for being patient and tolerant family dogs.
* 🧸 Often good with children – when properly socialised and supervised. Their sheer size means they can accidentally knock over small children.
* 🛡️ Protective – usually naturally watchful of their home and family without necessarily being aggressive.
* 🧠 Intelligent – capable of learning well, although they can sometimes have an independent streak.
* 🐌 Generally calmer than many large breeds – adults are often fairly relaxed around the home.
* 🫶 Loyal – tend to form very strong bonds with their owners.
* 🐕 Social – generally prefer being part of the family rather than spending long periods alone.
* 🌳 Moderate exercise needs – they need regular walks but aren’t usually a high-energy working dog.
Poodles : Very intelligent – often learns commands and routines extremely quickly.
* Highly trainable – generally enjoys learning and can excel in obedience, agility and other activities.
* Affectionate – usually forms strong bonds with its family and likes to be involved in household life.
* People-oriented – often wants plenty of interaction and attention rather than being left alone for long periods.
* Energetic – needs regular exercise and mental stimulation.
* Playful – many remain playful well into adulthood.
* Athletic – despite their elegant appearance, Standard Poodles are strong, active dogs.
* Low-shedding coat – they shed considerably less than many breeds, although their coat requires substantial grooming.
* Sensitive – harsh training can affect them; positive, consistent training tends to work particularly well.
* Alert – they can be very aware of what’s happening around the home and may bark to alert you.
* Adaptable – with sufficient exercise and stimulation, they can live happily in a family home.
* Good with children when properly socialised – their size and energy mean supervision and teaching children how to interact with them are important.
We are welcoming visitors from 4 -5 weeks of age to keeps stress levels low , as the puppies will still be feeding off mum solely until this stage.

Puppies will be checked by our Vets at around 6-8 weeks and receive their microchip and first vaccines.
They will be gradually orientated to the outside to play for short periods , taken out in the car to reduce car sickness . We endeavour to raise well socialised and happy puppies to ease transition to their new homes . Once ready to leave they will leave with some of mums bedding to help them on their journey and still be able to smell mum for reassurance , a toy they are familiar with , food , insurance, care guidance and vet card :)
