Mae & Hugo’s Puppies
Their Journey So Far – Five Weeks
Introducing Mae & Hugo’s Puppies
I think it’s time I properly introduced Mae & Hugo’s beautiful babies, who are now five weeks old. 🩵🩷
The last five weeks seem to have flown by. Our tiny puppies who once spent their days feeding, sleeping and snuggled up close to Mum are now turning into the most gorgeous little characters. 🐾
Mae has been an amazing first-time mum — calm, attentive and completely devoted to her babies from the very beginning. ❤️
And then there’s Hugo... 🥰 I really couldn’t have wished for a better match for Mae. He is such a sweet, gentle little boy with the loveliest nature, and together they really are a perfect match.
So, although I’m a little late with their proper introduction, I thought we could go back to the beginning and share a little of their journey so far. 🐾❤️
Week One ♡
Settling Into the World
Mae took to motherhood like an absolute star. ❤️ She was happiest tucked up with her babies, making sure they were fed, clean and settled.
The puppies spent most of their days feeding, sleeping and snuggling together, and it wasn’t long before they were putting on weight and becoming stronger little pups.
A lovely, calm first week for Mae & Hugo’s little family. 🐾
Week Two ♡
Growing Stronger
By week two, the puppies were really beginning to grow and fill out. They were still upstairs beside my bed where they had been born, with Mae perfectly content enjoying her quiet little family. 🫶
They also had their first worming treatment — which went down about as well as expected! 😂 There was plenty of trying to spit it back out, but we got there in the end. ❤️
Week Three ♡
Their Little World Begins to Open Up
Week three brought a very special milestone — their little eyes opened! ❤️
They were also beginning to find their feet, with lots of wobbly crawling and determination as they started exploring their surroundings.
Their world was still small, calm and quiet, but with their eyes open and confidence growing, they were becoming ready for their next little adventure. 🐾
Week Four ♡
Their World Gets a Little Bigger
At four weeks old, the puppies moved downstairs. ❤️ With their eyes and ears now open, it was time to gently introduce them to more everyday sights, smells and sounds.
They also met Raven, our German Shepherd, for the first time. 🥰 She adored our tiny new additions and quickly became their rather large guardian!
Worming treatment number two also arrived — slightly less dramatic for the puppies, although somehow it still managed to end up everywhere! 😂🐾
Week Five ♡
Little Personalities Coming to Life
And here we are at five weeks — and what a difference! ❤️
The puppies are now playing, exploring and interacting with each other, with wagging tails and their individual personalities really beginning to shine through.
They’ve moved into their own little pen, started interacting with the other dogs and had their first proper meals. Their half-brother Mason is particularly smitten and can hardly take his eyes off them! 🥰
Mae is still doing an amazing job looking after and feeding them, but these little babies are quickly becoming happy, inquisitive puppies — and the mischief is definitely beginning! 🐾❤️
❤️
🐾 Health, Care & Going Home 🐾
Both Mae and Hugo have had recent eye tests, as recommended by the Kennel Club for the Miniature Schnauzer breed. Hugo has a clear MAC test and Mae is hereditary clear, meaning their puppies will not be affected. The litter will also have their own eye test before leaving.
The puppies will be Kennel Club registered, eye tested, wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks, and will receive their first vaccination and microchip before leaving. They will also leave with five weeks' free insurance.
Each puppy will have their own puppy pack containing their Kennel Club registration certificate, eye test certificate and insurance cover note, some of their food, a toy and a blanket carrying the familiar smells of Mum and littermates. ❤️
I’ll also provide an advice sheet for those important first few weeks at home, and my support certainly doesn’t end when our puppies leave. I’ll always be available if you need any help or advice along the way.
And I absolutely love being kept updated and watching our puppies grow and continue their adventures with their new families. 🥰🐾
If you think you would like to give one of our pups their forever home please message me a little about yourselves and the home you offer 🙂 We are available for video calls and viewings are invited on Sunday 13th September. Deposits will be taken after video call/viewing and are non refundable unless the pup of your choice has a problem with their health tests/vet check.
Thanks Sam x
