Loving home wanted for our much-loved Doberman 🐾❤️ It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I am looking for a new home for our male Doberman. This is a decision I never thought I would have to make. Following a recent change in my circumstances, I no longer have the time to give him the exercise, attention and companionship he needs and deserves. I am looking for someone who genuinely loves the Doberman breed and understands what wonderful, affectionate dogs they can be. About him He is a very loving and affectionate boy and a real Velcro dog. He loves being close to his person and wants to be involved in everything you do. He thrives on human companionship and is happiest when he is with his family. He absolutely loves children, but because he can become very excited and will jump up, I would recommend a home with older children, ideally 14+. He is not crate trained and has always slept either in my bed or with my children, so he is very much used to being part of the family. Walking and training He is very strong on the lead and can pull, so he needs someone confident and experienced with a powerful dog. We have been using a prong collar because of his strength on the lead. He is not reactive to other people while out and isn’t particularly interested in passers-by. He is generally happy to carry on walking without paying much attention to people around him. He does not currently have reliable recall, so this is something his new owner will need to work on with him. He should only be allowed off lead in secure areas until his recall is properly established. The home I am looking for Someone who genuinely loves Dobermans and understands the breed Someone experienced with large, strong dogs A home where he will receive plenty of companionship and not be left alone for long periods Someone with the time and patience for exercise and continued training Ideally a secure garden Older children, ideally 14+, due to his excitement and jumping Someone who understands that he is a true Velcro dog and wants to be close to his family This is absolutely heartbreaking for me, and I will be very careful about who he goes to. I am not looking for the first person who can take him — I am looking for the right person. I will be completely honest about him, his personality and his training needs with any serious enquiries. I would like to speak properly with potential owners before making any decision. Please only enquire if you genuinely love the Doberman breed and can offer him the time, love, companionship and forever home he deserves. ❤️🐾
