Description
Due to a recent diagnosis of BFL, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to rehome my two parrots. This isn’t something I ever planned, so I’m looking for a genuinely suitable, experienced home for them where they can continue to thrive.
They are very bonded and must go together.
Rico is a 6-year-old Quaker Parrot. I’ve had him since he was young, and he’s naturally shy and reserved. He will need a calm, patient owner who understands parrots and is willing to give him time to build trust. Once comfortable, he’s very sweet. He can wave on command and mimics kissing sounds.
Buck is a Green Cheek Conure who is hand reared (unsexed). He’s confident, playful, and extremely curious. He loves exploring, playing with anything he can find, and chasing toes. He can be a little nippy at times, so he’ll need continued training and consistency, but he’s very intelligent and quick to learn. He can do a front flip on your finger and is starting to say words like “hello.”
They both enjoy vegetables and are currently fed Tropican Lifetime pellets, with seeds used only for training. They are active, intelligent birds and can be loud, so they would be best suited to someone experienced with parrots who has the time and patience to continue working with them and provide a good quality of life.
Please note the cage is not included. You will need to bring your own carrier for collection.
If you’re interested and feel you can offer them a knowledgeable and committed home, please message me to discuss further.
