If you find a small scale breeder, large scale farm, a accidental litter, a pet owner who only breeds occasionally, or even your mates mate down the road who is unlicensed and the total litter value is greater than £1000 then walk away they are trading puppies illegally, by law they can only charge minimal or give pups away for free. How will I know, I don't want to ask to see their licence? Once you find a breeder you need to see their licence as their word is not enough, if you feel awkward about asking them then before you visit the breeder obtain their postcode and check with their local council that there is a licence in place and it is still in date. Do not get sucked into cheap unlicensed illegal puppy transactions, if your breeder happily avoids the laws in place for protecting animals and following licensing then they probably would happily avoid health testing, worming, jabs ,quality feeds, being truthful with buyers and vet checks
