Description
This stunning boy is 6-years old and came to us, with his siblings, from a complex hoarding situation. He is used to living with other cats and is looking for an indoor home, potentially with a calm, friendly resident cat. He can also be homed with his brother, Noosh (advertised separately), with whom he is in foster.
Kensington is a the gentle, loving big house panther š»šāā¬. His biggest love is attention and gentle fusses. He regularly ignores his dinner, preferring to receive cheek scratches!! He will stand on his hind legs and reach for his fosterer with his paw when it's time for fuss! He can often be found making air biscuits, waving his paws in the air 'like he just don't care!'šŗš¼
It's not surprising if this love bug had to fight for attention šæ but, despite living with SO many cats in a hoarding situation, the terms 'personal space' and 'sharing attention' are unfamiliar concepts to Kensington š«£
Kensington is never mean, moody or aggressive with it but, very early on, he did sometimes collide with his brother Noosh in his rush to greet his fosterer. The collisions stopped quite quickly, once Kensington realised attention and affection were available in abundance š¹. It is likely that, once Kensington is settled, knowing he doesn't have to fight for affection, his need to be in the middle of all fuss and attention will ease up.
Kensington would be best living with cats who are more laid back, aren't very jealous or too reactive to give him the space to settle in without causing too much disruption to the other cats. An understanding adopter able to handle sharing affection amongst their resident cats AND Kensington would be ideal.
Kensington is a bigger cat, but he is VERY careful and gentleā¦.he keeps his claws to himself. He can give a very gentle 'nibble' when his fosterer's hands are full, to say hurry up! He has never hurt doing this, you can tell it's very controlled but for younger children this could be a little scary for them. So older cat savvy children would be best.
Kensington isnāt used to dogs or children. Any children in a home will need to be aged 13-years+. He can be homed with a confident, friendly resident cat.
Kensington is in foster in Bootle and has been neutered, chipped, parasite treated and is fully vaccinated. If interested in adopting Kensington, please call us on ************ and leave a voicemail. Adoption fee and vetting applies.
