Description

I am having to rehome my 7 month old Maine Coon boy. This really hasn’t been an easy decision, as I had hoped things would work out with my other two cats. He is an extremely loving, affectionate and friendly boy. He loves attention and cuddles, enjoys being around people and is very vocal and full of personality. He’s also very playful, loves climbing and exploring and likes making himself comfortable on chairs, sofas and sometimes the table! At just 7 months old, he’s already the size of a fully grown adult cat and is much bigger than my two 14 month old cats. He has a beautiful long coat which sheds quite a lot, so regular grooming is a must. He also has a big appetite! Since I first advertised him, I have had him neutered and he is recovering really well. He is also microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worm treatments. I have all the relevant paperwork, including his vaccination and medical records and his microchip can be transferred to his new owner upon collection. He’s been treated with Stronghold Plus - a prescription only flea treatment and I’ll also include a further two months’ supply. I originally advertised him but decided to take the advert down because I really wanted to keep him. I hoped that, given more time, my other two cats would eventually accept him. Unfortunately, despite continuing with gradual introductions, things haven’t improved. He is still very keen to play and interact with them, as you can see from the photos of him behind the mesh screen door, but the feeling isn’t mutual with the other two cats. As much as I’d love to keep him, I don’t feel it’s fair on him to continue in this situation. I purchased him as a full Maine Coon, but he came without any paperwork. He has many of the typical Maine Coon features, although he doesn’t have the particularly long, pointed ear tips or pronounced square muzzle often seen in the breed. I would prefer him to go to someone who has experience with cats and understands the time, care and commitment involved, particularly with a large, long haired breed. He is friendly towards other cats, although smaller or more timid cats may find his size intimidating. Please think carefully before getting in touch. I won’t be rehoming him just to anyone, as I want to make sure he goes to a loving home where he’ll be properly cared for and given the attention he deserves. Serious enquiries only, please.
