ZENA – EXPERIENCED HOME NEEDED 🐾 Zena is an 11-month-old German Shepherd girl looking for an experienced, understanding home where her needs can be put first. Zena is a naturally nervous and protective dog. She can be cautious around people and situations she doesn’t know, but once she has her person, she loves them incredibly deeply and forms a very strong bond with them. She was socialised from a young age and has received extensive training. She is crate trained, including for longer periods, and has travelled extensively. She has a very solid recall and is an active, intelligent young dog who needs plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Unfortunately, Zena has recently developed significant aggression towards other dogs. She cannot be housed with other pets or small children. She will therefore need a home with someone experienced in German Shepherds and behavioural management, who understands the responsibility involved and is committed to doing what is genuinely best for her. IMPORTANT: Zena does have a bite history. This is something that must be fully disclosed and taken seriously by anyone considering offering her a home. She needs an experienced owner who is confident managing a powerful, nervous dog and who will continue appropriate training and professional behavioural support. Zena isn’t a dog for everyone, and finding the right home is more important than finding a home quickly. She deserves someone who will understand her, advocate for her, keep her and others safe, and love her for the dog she is.
