It's with a very heavy heart we are looking to re-home our boy (jenson)
He is such a lovely boy, great with kids. Dogs and we have a cat who he loves to torment,
He has one issue which most daschounds have,
(hence why u see them mainly In Pairs)
separation anxiety, 😔
He ideally needs to go to a home that already has another dog or someone who spends a lot of time at home, he is great in the car, but due to work commitments I can't take him everywhere with me , this is the only thing I can fault him with.
I have tried everything, even bought a anti bark collar which did work for a few days but it's as though he's become oblivious to the small shock.
He sleeps in his crate at night and is no trouble in there at night

Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs

Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
