Description
To stay together. Smoke free home. £50 for pigs, £75 with stuff. Born 05/06/2024. Short haired.
Due to illness these well loved pigs are no longer cared for how they deserve.
Very healthy, never had health problems.
Due to them always being kept in a heating room, they will not survive outside. Especially in winter. A heated shed would be fine, but not an insulated shed without heating, and definitely not in a hutch outside, even with an insulated cover.
One of them is allergic to sawdust, so they need blankets or sawdust free bedding (confetti, paper etc.). Newspaper is not safe. I’ve always used blankets. Rinse in machine with white vinegar and sterilising tablets, then a 60 wash (vinegar and tablets again), and them and machine don’t smell.
They’ve been fed on a bowl of nuggets every two days, hay every day, and a variety of fresh veg/ fruit everyday. To be truly healthy, pigs need less processed food, and 2-3 x the amount of fresh veg than the internet tells you they need.
I have a young daughter, and cats. The first 6-12 months we got them out a lot and they were used to us. Very friendly and happy. Unfortunately, for the last 7+ months I’ve been too ill to cope with getting them out. They’ve never bitten us.
