Alongside my clinical veterinary work, I run a carefully managed breeding programme, which is my passion project. Specialising in Golden and Blue Golden British Shorthair and British Longhair cats**, combining responsible breeding, behavioural science and careful genetic selection to produce kittens with excellent health, correct breed type and outstanding temperaments. 💚 Temperament & Our Lap Cat Programme Temperament is just as important as health within our breeding programme. Our breeding cats are selected not only for their beauty and structure, but also for their **gentle, affectionate and people-orientated personalities**. From birth, kittens receive **intentional daily handling, cuddles and positive human interaction**, helping them develop confidence and strong bonds with people. Many families who have kittens from these bloodlines comment on how affectionate they become as adults, often describing them as true lap cats. We also provide guidance to new owners on how to continue this early socialisation at home, helping each kitten reach its full potential as a loving family companion. 🧬 Health & Breeding Standards Health and disease prevention are central to everything we do. Our breeding cats undergo extensive health screening, including testing for hereditary conditions such as: • Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) • Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) • PK Deficiency • PRA • SMA Our cattery operates a **closed breeding programme**, with strict biosecurity measures in place. Our stud cats are never offered for public stud, helping us maintain a carefully managed, disease-controlled environment. Our breeding programme incorporates carefully selected bloodlines imported from internationally recognised breeding programmes to maintain excellent genetics, temperament and breed type. 📸 Viewings & Updates We encourage prospective families to arrange a **video call**, allowing us to answer questions, discuss personalities and help match the most suitable kitten to your home. Once reserved, families receive **weekly photographs and video updates** as their kitten grows. In-person viewings are welcomed once the kittens are old enough and their immune systems have developed. ⭐ Looking for a Future Litter? If the right kitten isn't available today, we warmly invite you to **join our waiting list**. Waitlist families receive: • Early updates on pairings and pregnancies • First notification of new litters • Priority when selecting available kittens You're also very welcome to book a video call or viewing to discuss your ideal kitten. We'd love to help you find the perfect addition to your family.
