Description

MEET JESSIE – A LITTLE GIRL WITH A LOT OF LOVE TO GIVE Jessie is one of eight kittens born to two beautiful tabby sisters, Chloe and Lola, who had been living outside as strays in Slough. Thankfully, we were able to bring both mums and all eight babies into the safety of a Penny Paws foster home, where they’ve been growing up together. Jessie has developed into a particularly sweet, affectionate little girl. While her sister Cricket is usually the one looking for the next adventure, Jessie is a little more interested in the people around her. She’s playful, curious and full of kitten energy, but there’s a lovely gentle side to her personality too. Jessie has a slightly shorter tail following a small injury when she was very young. It’s completely healed and doesn’t bother her in the slightest. She’s healthy, developing well, eating solid food and using her litter tray. A LITTLE ABOUT HER BACKGROUND Jessie’s mum was a stray and, although she’s been a wonderful mother, she’s understandably nervous around people. We’ve noticed the kittens beginning to copy some of their mums’ cautious behaviour, so we’re particularly keen to find Jessie a home where she can continue building her confidence through plenty of positive human interaction. She’s at a lovely age to make that transition. FINDING HER FOREVER HOME Jessie will be ready to leave for her new home at 9 weeks old. She can be adopted individually, but we’d also be delighted to see her find a home alongside her sister Cricket. They’ve grown up together, and adopting the two would mean they could continue their adventures as a pair. Both girls are fostered in Walton-on-Thames. ABOUT ADOPTING FROM PENNY PAWS Penny Paws is an independent, volunteer-run rescue. Nobody makes a profit from our adoptions. Our adoption fees help cover food, litter, parasite treatments, veterinary checks, microchipping, neutering, medication and emergency care across our foster network. We don’t routinely vaccinate our rescues, as we receive no external funding, so adopters will need to arrange vaccinations with their own vet. Kittens adopted before five months of age are to be neutered by their new owners. Adoption fee: £199 individually or £350 for Jessie and Cricket together.
