Description

This is Tess. She is approximately 6 & 1/2 years old. She is in great health and has a gentle soul. We got Tess 3 years ago when we rescued her from a breeding farm in Wales. She had been used to produce litters for the farm. As such she wasn’t a family dog, so it took a lot of time and work to get her settled, and trusting. She is great with people, and has a very gentle temperament. She absolutely loves TV, strangely. If you put it on, she will sit and watch it for hours. Ideally Tess needs to be in a home without other pets. She currently lives with 2 Frenchie’s that we had before we got her. Whilst she tolerates them, it is clear she doesn’t like them. She has never been aggressive towards them, but we don’t trust her with them either, which is why we won’t re-home her with other pets. Due to her background she can occasionally be nervous around strangers, until trust is built. This is a legacy of not a lot of human contact in her early years. I socialised her when we first got her, by taking her to the local pub to meet everyone. Before long she became everyone’s best friend and it paid dividends. She has never been around young children, so for that reason I won’t re-home her with young children. She really is a lovely dog, with a great temperament. She just needs the right environment and the right person to become her forever home.
