Description

Promising young working Cocker Spaniel – Rufus – £1,250 Rufus is a male working Cocker Spaniel, born June 2025. We’re based near Chesterfield. He is a lively, intelligent dog with plenty of drive and stamina. He retrieves reliably, has good basic obedience and recall, and can wait rather than run in. He also settles when appropriate. He has not yet been introduced to gunfire or worked on a shoot. He is a promising young dog with good foundations, rather than a fully trained gundog. Rufus is microchipped but has no pedigree papers. I am going to be running a home boarding business and can no longer give Rufus the consistent individual training and working opportunities he deserves. He is very much loved, so the right home matters more to me than a quick sale. I’m looking for an experienced working home that can develop his abilities. Genuine enquiries are welcome. I would also love to keep in touch. I’ve put a lot of careful consideration in to his upbringing. It was always the intention to keep him, however, due to change in work situation and me wanting the best for him, I’ve reached this difficult decision. He’s always at his happiest when he’s working and being able to please his owner. I’ve trialed him living with a friend but he needs somebody more experienced, who understands the importance of obedience and a highly driven dog like his, needs
