Description

Benny is looking for a very special forever home. Sadly, Benny has now been returned to us for a second time. His first return, after almost two years, was due to reported behavioural issues, including occasionally striking out and apparent litter tray problems. We collected him immediately and, since returning to us, he has been impeccably clean with his litter habits. Although initially wary and occasionally defensive if startled, these behaviours became less frequent as he settled and began to trust us. One of the biggest changes we saw was that Benny simply didn’t seem to know how to play. Over time, we introduced him to wand toys and taught him to play fetch with his toy mice – something he now absolutely loves and would happily do all day long. He also adores curling up beside you once he has formed a bond. Unfortunately, despite careful introductions in his second home, an incident with the resident cat has shown us that Benny is simply not suited to living with other animals. His recent owner absolutely adored him and is heartbroken to return him, but the decision was made in the best interests of both cats. Benny now needs an experienced, adult-only home where he will be the only pet. We want to be completely transparent that he has shown behavioural issues in the past. Whilst these became very minimal once he felt safe and secure, we cannot honestly predict whether they may occasionally reappear in a new environment. His new owner will need to understand that trust will take time, allow him to settle at his own pace, and learn his body language. Benny is looking for an indoor-only home, although a secure catio or fully secure garden would be a wonderful bonus. He doesn’t need anything extravagant—he’s never had any interest in cat wheels or fancy equipment. What he really wants is his own person. Someone to trust, someone to bond with, and someone to spend his days beside. He is an incredibly loving, social boy who adores head boops, gentle kisses, snuggling up next to you and, of course, endless games of fetch with his toy mice. We truly believe that, in the right home, Benny has so much love to give. We’d love to see him enjoying the one-to-one life he deserves instead of waiting here for that special person to find him. Benny is TICA registered, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with all of his health care. We are completely open and honest about Benny’s history and are happy to discuss everything in detail with genuinely interested applicants. Above all, we simply want to find Benny the right forever home.
