Description
This is Bear. He’s a one year old golden retriever. & he is our all.
Unfortunately last year a couple months after I got him a disc pushed out in my spine and made me virtually Immobile for a long period of time & even now I’m still not 100% right. This made it very hard for us to train him to his fullest self.
Bear is fully house trained, but lead trained not so much. He pulls a lot on the lead, prior to my back going he made immense progress as a pup and I know with the right owner he will go back to that ship shape clever walking dog he is.
Unfortunately due to my back problems it’s made it hard for me to be able to walk him and with his strength of pulling I’m frightened to walk him in case he either gets off lead or I injure myself further. Don’t get me wrong it’s not really awful it’s when he sees people/dogs/birds he just wants to go and play with them that’s when the pulling is a lot.
Due to this he’s of course bored at home and it’s not fair on him. He loved finding cardboard to rip up but nothing of any value but I do believe when he goes to somewhere with more exercise he absolutely won’t do this again because whenever we have walked him he’s very relaxed after and not like that at all.
I love my boy so so much and I’m absolutely heartbroken that this is something we’re having to consider but I know that it isn’t fair on him.
He’s a loving dog, wouldn’t harm a fly he’s amazing with our one year old child.
Please note we will NOT be just sending him to anyone, checks will be made before he goes anywhere.
He’s due his yearly vaccine this month.
He will come with food bowls, food, harness, he usually sleeps on the sofa or close to us he was never interested in his bed when we bought him one.
He is not neutered, he’s good with other dogs he’s very playful and high energy.
