Description
Kaiza is a 4-year-old male (turning56 this September) who is looking for a very experienced and committed home.
He has previously completed boarding-based behavioural training and has made improvements over the years. He is intelligent, alert, and bonds closely with his owners. In the right environment, he can be loyal and deeply attached to his person.
However, we want to be completely honest about his needs. Kaiza is reactive and can display aggression towards other dogs, and at times towards people and children. We currently live in an apartment where more dogs have recently moved in, and the environment has become very overstimulating for him. This has led to an increase in his reactivity despite our continued efforts to manage and support him.
Due to his size and strength, we are finding it increasingly difficult to handle him safely, which is why we are seeking a more suitable home.
Kaiza would be best suited to:
- An experienced dog owner (no first-- time owners)
- A home with no children
- A home with no other pets
- Someone confident in handling large, reactive dogs, with an alpha presences
- Someone willing to continue structured training
He is not a “starter dog,” and we will prioritise finding the right match over a quick rehoming. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us, and his welfare is our absolute priority.
