Description

It breaks my heart to write this, but I’m looking to rehome my beloved dog to the right home. About them: • Breed: Japanese Shiba Inu • Age: 9 Months • Gender: Female • Neutered/Spayed: No • Vaccinated: Yes • Microchipped: Yes Personality: They are a loving, loyal, and playful dog who enjoys zoomies and a good game of fetch! They have a cheeky personality and really bond closely with their people. Good to know: • Good with children: Yes, but would recommend older children as she is still in her nippy stage and will nibble when excited. • Good with other dogs: Prefers smaller dogs, very fearful of bigger dogs although we have been working with her to try and overcome this. Once she warms up to a dog she is so great! • Good with cats: Never had experience, although she does not do well with small caged animals (guinea pigs/rabbits etc) her high prey drive causes her to hyper focus on an attempt to get to them. • Training: house trained, crate trained and knows a few basic commands like sit, wait and occasionally will give you a paw if she feels your worthy of it! • Any quirks or needs: She can be very anxious when she knows the whole household is not home, will whine and check doors and windows frequently. Will NEED to be muzzled at the vets as she is very fear reactive but only at the vets, she is fine on walks and in the house. When out on walks she CANNOT be taken off of her lead, even with the best recall training, due to her high prey drive she will take off at any given chance. Why I’m rehoming: Due to changes in my circumstances, I’m no longer able to give them the time and environment they truly deserve. This decision hasn’t been made lightly. Ideal home: I’m looking for a home where they will be loved, safe, and given plenty of attention. Decent sized garden as she loves to zoom! New owner(s) MUST have knowledge of the Shiba breed, she will not be going to just anyone. Important: This is incredibly important to me, so I will only consider serious enquiries. I may ask questions to make sure it’s the right match.
