Young African Grey Parrot – Loving, Experienced Home Wanted We are looking for a genuinely suitable new home for our young African Grey. He is still a baby and is a lovely, intelligent little bird. He enjoys head scratches, likes being around people and will happily fly over to be with you. He is very curious and already starting to make lots of voice-like sounds and noises. This is a very difficult decision and is absolutely no fault of his. We have realised that an African Grey is simply not the right fit for our household. Two of our younger children are frightened of him, and we don’t feel we have enough time to give him the attention, training and enrichment he deserves long-term. Like any young parrot, he is still learning boundaries and can become overstimulated and nippy, so we would strongly prefer someone who already understands parrots/African Greys and their needs. We are not looking to rush him into the first available home. We want someone who understands that an African Grey is a very long-term commitment and can give him plenty of interaction, enrichment and a stable home.
