Description
This isn't an easy thing to write or do but I'm really struggling with our Golden retriever. He's got so much energy and is so sweet but with my work schedule and chaotic life with two children it's not fair on him. He's in a pen during the day and is left for 4 hours at a time. I come back to walk him for lunch. He's walked 3 times a day 30 mins sometimes more. He's got basic training skills, sit, wait, lay down using hand signals. We are currently working on a calm re call and no jumping up when excited.
Our previous GR was a show. This boy is a working type. We thought a family of four would be a perfect match but I just feel we aren't and it's not fair on him. He loves walks, water, sticks, toys, meeting people and rug o war. He needs an owner who can work him or train him further. He needs a big garden where he can't escape from. He's only 11 months so he thinks he's still a small puppy.
He's flea and wormed monthly. I have a pet plan at the moment. He's also KC registered which will need to be changed to his new owners details. This can be done online.
He's a beautiful big boy and dark in colour. This is extremely tough for us as a family and one that's not been taken lightly. 😢😢😢
I will not let him go to anyone. I will be very thorough and ask lots of questions. A video call will be needed as he deserves the very best after I'm letting him down which is heart breaking he doesn't deserve any of this. Please no time wasters. Thanks for reading.
