Update due to the massive amount of time wasters I require full messages confirming that you have read the advert fully and meet all requirements and are ready to come and meet Rocky asap. He is not a sofa on marketplace that you message asking a tonne of questions arrange to view and then ignore. He's a great pup with a few behaviours that require time and consistent training. It's hard enough having to look to re-home him without time wasters.
Hi there, this is Rocky. He's a beautiful 10 month old KC registered Rottie, he's microchipped and fully up to date with all vaccinations.
It is with great sadness that I am looking for a forever home for him. He's very good with basic commands, he's crate trained and fully toilet trained. He's been brilliant with other dogs and attends a doggy Day care for two half days a week.
Unfortunately since a puppy, he has had problems with resource guarding. With food and anything he finds, he has been aggressive on a couple of occasions if you pick something up near him that he sees as his or if you bother him whilst food is around or even bother him while he's sleeping. I've spoken to professionals and tried to train him out of it and whilst he's got better, he is still very prone to it.
I have two young children and a baby so I can't risk having the baby accidentally pick something up that he sees as his and becoming aggressive.
For that reason, I've made the hard decision of offering him for adoption. Obviously you would have to provide him space as he's a big dog and will continue to grow for at least a year, he's already 40kg.
It's imperative that he's in a home with no young children and ideally someone that can provide him time and patience with training.
I believe with time and training, he would be a great companion for someone. Any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
