He is a 1 year old working line German shepherd, he’s a lovely, highly energetic boy, who requires a lot off love and attention as well as a lot of training, he understands basic commands such as sit, lay, wait, paw and is crate trained.He is good with other dogs in an off leash environment however he is highly reactive towards other dogs on leash, I’m not sure if this is due to a lack of proper exposure when he was a puppy, or if he is just anxious but the reactivity is not due to aggression. He is also reactive to cats and children in public so would need a no children house hold, he does live with a cat but is also boisterous but not aggressive, he just wants to play and does not realise the size and power discrepancy. He would require an experienced owner who understands that it is a long road for him. I just want to be completely transparent about his issues just so that anyone serious about giving him a good life understands what is ahead. I am unfortunately trying to find him a new home due to not be able to handle his needs aswell as his wanting him to have a better quality of life regardless of how difficult it might be for me. I’m not in a rush at all and finding him a suitable home that he can thrive in is the most important thing.
