Description

This is Bo, a 2 year old vizsla x pointer boy who is the most loyal companion you could possibly wish for. He is quite literally a gentle giant. He most definitely does not know his size, and if he had it his way he would sleep on top of you all day. He is calm, snuggly, a true gentleman of a dog that always wants at least a paw on whoever is at home. He is fully crate trained, and happy to be in his crate for long periods of time when people are home. He will need to be in a home where he is given time to get settled and familiar before leaving him alone for long periods. Somewhere where there is someone home for him often to start off with is essential as he thrives having someone or another dog around. Bo has been the only dog in this household, which he has struggled with since having several dogs in his previous. I believe the company of the other dogs helped him with being alone. Bo is fantastic with other dogs, and actually thrives in their company so I do believe that a home with another dog would be highly beneficial for him although this is not essential if the home is right. Bo is very much capable of walking on a loose lead. The start of our walks always start off with him thinking his nose can lead the way, and it takes him a short while to stay at your heel but once he does he’s brilliant. His recall is not 100%, however he would never run off to the point where you’d lose him. He’s just a nosey boy that wants to sniff everything and everyone. He was brought up around lots of children in his previous home, and I have 2 children under 5 and can not fault him one single bit. We have an extremely loud, busy household and he hasn’t batted an eyelid at the children. His temperament is truly outstanding. He is a very large boy, that doesn’t always know his size when he’s wagging his strong tail with excitement but with dog-savvy children he’s more than fine. Bo will bark to let you know there are unexpected visitors in your garden, but is not phased by other dogs, people passing the house etc. he’s not an excessive annoying barker, just lets you know when something isn’t right. He’s truly a lovely boy, and I will genuinely be heartbroken to see him go. It’s extremely important to me that he goes to the perfect home, and I’m in no rush and will take as long as required to achieve this for him. He will come with all of his belongings, including a crate if necessary.
