Having already endured more hardship than most dogs ever should, she was found with an old, untreated fracture and lived with pain in silence until her damaged leg had to be amputated. While her body carries the marks of her past, her spirit never gave up — holding onto a quiet hope that kindness and safety were still possible.
Now safe in a loving foster home in Kent, Chara is beginning to discover that the world doesn’t have to be such a frightening place. Initially a shy and nervous girl; she carefully watches and learns before she trusts. But beneath that uncertainty lies a deeply sweet, sensitive nature that slowly shines through once she feels safe.
Chara’s joy is found in the simple things:
