Description
Beautiful incubator-hatched by me they are very tame and are thriving. They have been reared on mixed seed, lots of greens (spinach and peas), sweetcorn, fresh fruit and worms. Have been living outdoors in a partially covered aviary since June. The bird’s range in hatch dates from mid May to June.
Temminck's Tragopans are a hardy species and are well suited to the UK climate. I have included two photos of one of the adult male parents to give an idea of how the males will mature, currently they are just showing some red/chestnut colouring around the neck. Females change relatively little in appearance as they mature.
I would also be interested in discussing exchanges with other Tragopan keepers to help broaden my bloodlines and improve genetic diversity.
Collection from North Hampshire.
