Please read fully before contacting me. With the heaviest heart weve come to a decision to rehome our two year old cockapoo Honey is 2 years old now from the moment we bought her home at 8 weeks old she’s shown nerves these nerves have always been towards men. No matter how much reassurance we’ve given honey calming tabs or training has helped her with these nerves fortunately now my husband knows when honeys going to get mad at him & refrains from making her anymore nervous however as our sons have gotten taller she’s started to be nervous with them. Honey is super nervous & a household with 8 people is sending her nerves through the roof. As a family we have all tried to help honey however children being children sometimes forget, having 3 teenagers two of which are male has started to cause issues boys being boys play fighting has tipped honey over the edge & she recently snapped at our sons for doing so. We all love honey so much & have tried everything to avoid this but it’s just not fair on her with how her neves are in such a busy home aswell as it’s not fair that we have to say no to our teenage sons wanting friends over & being told to stop being loud and play fighting as it’s going to trigger honey. Honey loves our 3 youngest children & has an amazing bond with our teenage daughter, she’s slightly nervous at first with women but comes round super easy, men have honey so nervous and we’ve never understood why. We’ve taken honey on walks daily since we’ve had her & we’ve learnt she loves her walks but loves being in her own zone she don’t like people who approach her she sits and looks mean to tell us to tell them not to touch her, her nerves are at bay whilst walking but not if someone approaches her If it was just me & my husband we wouldn’t even be rehoming honey as my husband knows when to leave her be, but our teenagers forget & we have. 4 year old boy which at the moment she’s never shown any signs of nerves round however he’s only going to get taller and we worry she will later on. This rehoming has to be right me & particularly my daughter are finding this very hard as it is, we expect honeys new parents to understand her flaws & keep this in mind at all times before considering honey, I highly recommend an older couple who can give honey there dedicated time & love. We will require you to come and meet honey in her own home & then we would like to come for a walk our and about with you with honey to see how she is with you & lastly we would like to visit you with honey in your own home so we can see how she is. Even though we’ve come to this decision we still want honey to feel comfortable so we don’t want to rush nothing or leave her if we can see she’s not fully comfortable. If you can see past honeys nerves, Honey is so loving she follows me round all the time & wants to be by my side & loves a belly rub, she is fully house trained & sleeps through the night, honey eats purina proplan.
