It’s with the heaviest heart we have had to make this decision and not a conclusion we’ve come to lightly, but after 5 long years working with behaviourists and exhausting every possible resource it’s clear both our dogs cannot live under the same roof anymore.
He is the sweetest little dog with the biggest heart and in the right environment he will thrive. I’m absolutely heartbroken we couldn’t be that for him. He’s my little shadow, will follow everywhere and loves nothing more than cuddling his humans. He does require a lot of attention so new owners will need to be ready to be joint at the hip, but being loved by him truly is the best.
He likes to play in small bursts, so will chase a ball for a little while but then will stop and cuddle. He prefers soft toys & will take one to bed every night. Also likes stimulation toys eg. snuffle toys, kong ball, lick mat.
He has no recall & is reactive toward other dogs so new owners will need to be confident & willing to work on this with him.
He can be left alone but only for short periods of time due to his separation anxiety so someone who works from home or is retired would be perfect for him.
He’s highly intelligent and is very good at communicating his needs (will bark by the back door when he needs to go out / ready to come in etc). He listens very well, is trained in all basic commands and will do as he’s told 99% of the time (come, sit, wait, paw, down, up, off, spin, bed, garden etc).
All we want is for someone to love Bear as much as we do and care for him all the same, in an environment better suited to him.
