Description
It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking for the perfect home for our much-loved girl, Ava. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but we have to put her happiness first.
Ava is a 13-month-old blue merle Border Collie with the kindest, gentlest nature. She absolutely adores her humans and truly dotes on her family. She is affectionate, loyal, and a wonderful companion to have around the home.
She is naturally a slightly shy, sensitive soul and likes a little time to get to know new people, but once you’ve earned her trust she will give you her whole heart. She thrives on one-to-one connection and would be happiest either as an only dog or with just one calm, compatible dog. She isn’t suited to a busy multi-dog pack environment.
Ava has been raised in a family home and has proven to be fantastic with children. She has also lived happily with cats.
Being a Border Collie, she does of course need regular exercise and mental stimulation. However, she is not a “full-on”, high-drive type. She is beautifully balanced — happy to go out for a good walk, explore and use her brain, but just as content to come home and snuggle up with you for the rest of the day. She isn’t a typical collie that constantly tries to herd people or children, and she has lovely house manners.
She is:
• Recall trained
• Knows sit, down, stay and wait
• Up to date with vaccinations
• Up to date with flea and worm treatments
She is not yet spayed, purely due to her only recently coming of age and recent family circumstances.
We are looking for a kind, understanding home that will give her the individual attention and stability she deserves. She is not a problem dog — she is a sensitive, devoted girl who simply needs the right environment to truly flourish.
The right home is essential, Serious enquiries only please — this is an incredibly difficult decision for us.
