Their beautiful appearance does mean they require regular grooming and coat maintenance to prevent tangles, matting and discomfort. They will need: • A spacious, secure enclosure with plenty of room to exercise • Constant access to good-quality hay • Suitable guinea pig pellets and fresh vegetables • Fresh, clean drinking water • Regular grooming, particularly because of their long curly coats • Plenty of enrichment and interaction • The company of other compatible guinea pigs where possible Guinea pigs are social animals and generally should not be kept alone, so homes with an existing compatible guinea pig or homes taking a suitable pair/group will be preferred.
