Description
I’m looking for a new home for my Japanese Shiba Inu. He is a 5 year old male, ex show dog, now looking for a home as a pet.
He was imported from Russia as a puppy, and is both FCI and KC registered. Excellent pedigree with health tested parents and grandparents.
He’s microchipped, vaccinated and neutered. Never had any health issues.
Needs an experienced home, he’s a very typical Shiba!
Cons:
-Dramatic, stubborn, thinks he’s the king of the world, uppity, can be vocal.
-Escape artist so needs a secure garden, and can’t be off lead in public as he would 1000% run off and you’d never see him again.
-Can’t live with other male dogs as he has same sex aggression (common in the breed), but would be fine with females or as an only dog.
Pros:
-He’s super friendly to people and loves attention and cuddling, loves to play with every toy and has infinite energy.
-Very food motivated and willing to learn so would be easy to train.
-Walks nice and loose on lead.
-Very confident, basically bombproof, loves to explore and see new places and people.
-Fully housetrained, not destructive, can be left alone for a few hours when needed and will behave himself
He’s a great little dog and just needs a home that understands the breed and its quirks. Rehoming him due to personal reasons but I’m not in a rush to do so. I’d like to stay in contact with his future owner to see how he’s getting on. I love him very much but with my current situation and for his happiness, he would be better off living elsewhere.
