This is one of the hardest things we have ever had to write, but after a lot of thought and many difficult conversations, we have made the heartbreaking decision to look for a new home for our beautiful boy, Lenny. Lenny is a 5-month-old Whippet who is a very loving, affectionate and happy boy. He is a gorgeous dog with such a lovely personality and has been incredibly loved as part of our family. Unfortunately, Lenny struggles with separation anxiety, and despite doing our very best to help him, we have realised that our current lifestyle isn’t allowing us to give him the time and consistency he needs. I work at a veterinary practice, my husband is a farmer, and with our three young children, life is incredibly busy. We feel that Lenny deserves more time, company and attention than we are realistically able to give him. This is absolutely not an easy decision, and we are devastated to be considering rehoming him. We want to make it very clear that we will only let Lenny go to the right home. His welfare and happiness are our priority, and we would rather wait for the perfect family than rush into finding him a home. Lenny is: 🐾 5 months old 🐾 A lovely, affectionate Whippet 🐾 Very healthy 🐾 Fully up to date with flea and worming treatments 🐾 Much loved and well cared for 🐾 Comes with his food, toys, bedding and blankets, so he has familiar things to take with him We are looking for someone who understands Whippets and, most importantly, someone who has the time, patience and commitment to help him with his separation anxiety. Ideally, he would have someone around for much of the day and be given plenty of companionship, exercise, love and reassurance. Lenny will be £750 to the right home. This is not about making money from him — we simply want to ensure that anyone interested is genuinely committed to taking on the responsibility of giving him a wonderful forever home. We are happy to answer any questions honestly and would much rather have a conversation with potential owners first to make sure Lenny is the right fit.
