Unfortunately we have to find our lad a new home due to not being able to give him the time he deserves, his name is Ziggy. Between working full time and having to put a lot of attention towards our child who has started to walk, we can no longer find time to give him long walks and it feels wrong leaving him at home whiles we have to work. Ziggy is a lovely lad, we inherited him when he was 10 weeks old from a family member who passed away, leaving him to come with us or go to a kennel so we chose to take him. Ziggy is playful and loves his food. He is trained to sit, lay down, go to bed and waits for the “eat” command before he starts eating, he is really good with commands but needs more training as distractions/excitement can make him not listen to the commands. He also has a tendency to pull on leads, although he is getting better as time goes on. He loves cuddles and playing fetch and is great with children. We have 2 cats and he barks at them when he sees them, he just wants to play with them but they don’t really like him. He really wants to play with other dogs but unfortunately he has yet to meet a dog that is friendly towards him or match his young energy, they all growl at him and it’s quite upsetting to see as he just wants to play. He would be perfectly suited for a home that provides love and attention, frequent walks and preferably without other pets (unless you are confident in training him with other pets). He does not show aggression towards other pets, he just barks at our cats. We have yet to hear him growl and he does not bite or snap. We can provide a bed, drinking bowl and 2 large bags of his food. I can provide a video on request of him following the commands he knows and more pictures of him if needed. We don’t want much for him, we just want him to go to a home that will give him all the attention he needs and loves him.
