Description
Our boy needs a new home. This needs to be an adult only home he would suit an older person. He currently lives with 5 children and another male dog and is not happy so for his wellbeing we have come to the hardest decision to find him a home where he will be happy. We have had him since he was 12 weeks old and have been in touch with the breeder before taking this step. He is toilet trained, walks well on the lead (recall while out leaves a lot to be desired as he is very deaf when he wants to be so we keep him on lead). We don’t feed him any bird related foods as this causes him to have a reaction. He is currently raw fed on lamb and has a low dose of steroids from the vet as he does have ear flare ups where he scratches, Common in his breed. We keep on top of this with regular cleaning his ears out and being aware of what he is given to eat. He cannot eat kibble as this affects him. He likes his own company and can be left happily. Visiting children would be fine but really he just is a little old man in a young body. He is a loving boy when he wants to be. He will come for a stroke or cuddle but after 10 minutes he is done and takes himself off. I have so much more to say on him. This is not an easy choice and he won’t just go to anyone, we are doing this because we want the best for him. Cockapoos are not cheap dogs to own and keep so please remember this before getting in touch. Ideally we would like someone who has had the breed before and knows what there doing and will be in this for the long haul as breaks my heart to think of someone taking himself off but then can’t cope so he ends up with yet another home.
