Ralph is the most loving cocker spaniel you’ll ever meet. He’ll roll over for belly rubs if shown any attention… no matter where he is!! He’s just turned 3 years old and it’s been a mixture of calm and chaos! Not a bad bone in his body and he’s been around my 2 year old nephew who prods and pokes and he’s never once reacted.. he just wants to be close and loved. I’m not going to sell a dream, he isn’t perfect! He is a barker… due to fear of complaints from new neighbours, we’ve allowed him to have full access to the house including beds! And if we go up without him, he’ll let us know!! He barks at the letterbox and has chewed mail. He pulls on the lead despite different leads/collars - I would say walks are difficult unless he’s off lead. His recall is good in open spaces and he comes on the demand “this way”. Loves water, deep swimmer so needs a good bath after a walk! Jumps up at the table when we’re eating. Other than the walks, barking and reacting to the post box he’s an absolute delight! Breaks my heart to be writing this because he’s such a massive part of our lives but it’s totally unfair on him and he needs more activity in his life x
